With the support of M&G Investments, our 18th annual ‘Walk for Life for Farleigh Hospice’ will start on the morning of Sunday 9th May 2010.
There are two scenic walks to choose from; a longer 21.5km route from Heybridge to Chelmsford and a shorter 10km route from Paper Mill Lock to Chelmsford. So whatever your age and ability, you can enjoy the beautiful mid Essex countryside whilst raising vital funds in support of your local hospice.
Last year more than 1,800 people took part and between them they raised over £180,000 in sponsorship. This money has played a big part in funding the care we provide free of charge to local people affected by life limiting illnesses. As the demand for the services provided by Farleigh Hospice continues to grow each year, we are hoping that with your help and support this year’s walk will be bigger and more successful than ever before!
Simply register online at http://www.farleighhospice.org/walkforlife/register.cfm today.
There is a £10 registration fee for adult walkers and a £5 fee for children under 16 which goes towards the cost of a T-Shirt and the overall administration of the event.
As the two routes are not circular, coaches are available from Chelmsford to take walkers to the starting point of their chosen walk.
To help us with the planning of this event and enable us to send out your personal ‘Walk for Life for Farleigh Hospice’ pack in plenty of time, please register as soon as possible. The last date to register for this event is 28th April 2010.
