There’s nothing more enjoyable than getting together with friends, family or work colleagues for a cup of tea or coffee with a slice of cake or a biscuit. The Farleigh Hospice ‘Cup of Care’ appeal provides a fantastic way of doing this, whilst at the same time supporting your local hospice and raising money which makes a real difference to local families.

Whether you're an individual or from a church, club, school or business – you can easily do your bit by holding a party during the months of June and July. Just make it as big or small, as simple or fancy as you like, the choice is completely yours!

And to have more fun and raise even more money you could:

- Ask for a donation for entry and/or for the tea/coffee and cake or buscuits

- Consider holding a raffle, ‘guess-the-weight of the cake’ competition, a special tombola or bring-and-buy sale

• To help make your party as fun and as easy as possible, we can provide you with posters, fliers, invitations and balloons!

• Alternatively, you can download the Cup of Care leaflet here, complete the registration form and post it back to us at the freepost address given on the leaflet.

• The money you raise by taking part in this year’s ‘Cup of Care’ appeal will help us to carry on caring for local families at their time of greatest need. Last year our parties raised over £5,000 between them. With your help and support we are hoping to raise even more this year!

  Raising £50 could help to care for a patient inside their own home by funding a visit from our Hospice at Home Team

  Raising £100 could help a patient to receive expert clinical care and advice on things such as pain relief and symptom control by funding a visit from one of our Specialist Community Nurses

  Raising £211 could keep our Hospice Outreach Project (HOP) vehicle on the road for a day, helping to deliver the specialist services of Farleigh Hospice right into the heart of our community

  Raising £460 could provide 24 hours of care on our Inpatient Unit for a patient with more complex needs

  Raising £1,100 could fund our Chelmsford based day hospice for a whole day!
