March - May 2013
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to turn £50 into as much money as possible for Farleigh Hospice. As well as raising funds which help to provide essential Hospice care in our community - why not use the challenge as an exercise to boost staff morale, test their teamwork capabilities and imagination, and ultimately - have some fun!! You could run fundraising events at work, invest it on the stock market, auction items, set sporting challenges or organise social activities to raise money. In fact you can do absolutely anything you like (as long as it’s legal!)..
The challenge will commence with a special launch on 28th February, where your team will be presented with a crisp £50 note and will pledge to accept our challenge, and of course return our £50 at the end along with what they have raised. Following the launch you will be given a total of 12 weeks to turn your £50 into as much money as possible before the end of May 2013.
To celebrate your achievements we have organised a special presentation evening to take place at Boreham House at the end of the challenge. Here each team will be given a participation certificate and special recognition will be awarded to teams for ‘Most innovative idea’, ‘Best example of teamwork’ and ‘Most money raised’, amongst other fun catagories.
We are hoping that the challenge will drum up plenty of local press and media coverage and create a real buzz within the mid Essex business world. And of course we’ll be on hand with helpful hints, tips and support along the way. So ... don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to get involved in the FUNdraising challenge of the year!
Here's just a few ideas on how you could grow your £50 into an amount that will make a real difference to local families affected by life limiting illnesses during the challenge:
- Hold a sweepstake
- Do a sponsored challenge
- Have a dress down/dress up day with prizes
- Hold a raffle
- Organise a work’s Quiz Night
- Hold a silent auction
