Fundraising and Events

All our services are provided completely free of charge to patients and their families.  We receive a grant from the NHS but for the vast majority of our funds we are reliant upon the good will of the local community.

Why We Need Help

The cost of running our specialist services increases each year as we care for an ever growing number of patients. 

Total Operating costs for the year 2006 / 2007 is £2.9 million for all of the services we offer.  Of this we expect to receive a grant of £1.1 million from the NHS.  For the rest we are entirely dependent upon the goodwill of the local community, which means that we need to raise nearly £5,000 each and every day to continue to run our vital services.

How to get involved

There are a huge number of ways to get involved, whether this is running your own event, helping with events that are taking place in the community or getting organisations that you belong to involved.  We have a team to support you with your fundraising and to ensure that you enjoy your fundraising.
