Farleigh Hospice Shops rely on quality donated items to keep going.  From furniture, to clothes, to children's toys and games if you have quality items they are very much appreciated.  Roughly 1 in 4 patients at Farleigh Hospice are cared for by funds raised through our shops and your donations enable this care.

When considering donating to Farleigh Hospice, please ask yourself the following question - 'Would I buy this item'?  If the answer is no, then probably no-one else would and rather than making money for the hospice your item could cost us money in disposal.

If you feel that you have an item / items that would be beneficial to the hospice you can either take them to one of our shops or, ideally, to our distribution centre - 2 Hanbury Road, Chelmsford, CM1 3AE (in the Robjohn's Industrial Estate).  If you have larger items that might need collection or if you are unsure whether we can accept an item please call our retail team on: 01245 228948

We are also unable to accept all donations, please find below a list of items that we do not accept:

Non Electrical Goods

Ashtrays
Bikes
Car seats
Cushion inserts (unless they have safety label)
Cycle helmets
Exercise equipment
Loose/stretch covers
Nightwear without a safety label
Oil heaters and lamps
Pierced earrings (unless sterilised)
Pillows and quilts (unless new)
Pushchairs, cots, highchairs, baby walkers
Razors and large sharp knives
Riding hats
Skateboards
Skates
Soft toys, unless they have their CE labels. Then check for loose bits.
Toys filled with water
Toys with small pieces or sharp edges
Water safety toys
Xmas trees (except fibre optic)

Electrical Items

Any electrical goods without a tested label
Electric blankets / Footwarmers
Electric knives
Electric lawnmowers without instructions
Electric organs (electronic ones are acceptable)
Fax machines
Heated rollers
Hi-fi players - unless small and include a CD player & remote control
Large radios
Large speakers
Microwave ovens
Radiant electric fires with exposed elements
Sewing machines
Televisions
Typewriters
Video recorders
Wall / ceiling lights
White goods  - washing machines, fridges etc.
Xmas tree lights
