Farleigh Hospice has published its Quality Account 2011 – 2012 and it can be viewed by clicking here
A Quality Account is an annual report to the public from providers of NHS healthcare about the quality of clinical services they deliver. The function of the Quality Accounts is to look back on the previous year regarding quality of services, explaining both what we are doing well and where improvement is needed. But, crucially, they also look to the future in order to identify priorities for quality improvements over the forthcoming financial year. Quality improvements are of the highest priority as they are linked to patient safety, experience and clinical effectiveness. The document is required to be reviewed also by a number of external organisations the North Essex PCT Cluster Essex Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee and the Essex & Southend Local Involvement Network (LINk) who all gave very positive feedback on the work of the hospice.
