Respite Care
Farleigh Hospice offers Day Hospice services and in-patient care to patients who would benefit from them. One of the key aspects of this care is that it provides a respite for the carers who may be exhausted from looking after their relative.
The Farleigh Day Hospice provides a day per week of respite for carers. Transport can be provided for patients who require it. The Day Hospice provides an often greatly needed social occasion for patients and an opportunity for peer support.
In-patient respite of up to 7 days can be arranged for patients or carers who need a longer break.
Please discuss this with your key worker in the Hospice. Patients also have the chance to take advantage of the hospice's services such as the various therapies and nursing and medical assesments.
