Local artist, Sue Cowley will be exhibiting some of her work in the Farleigh Hospice Art Gallery in the coming months.
“I spent my youth in Basildon where I grew up. My uncle, Dave Chappell, who is a wonderful sculptor and artist, spent a lot of his time in the shed at the bottom of the garden and as a young child I was in awe of his work. Needless to say I think it inspired me to try and produce some art of my own!
"Over the past ten years or so I have experimented with wax on paper and then realised I could use it directly onto glass, which is what I do now. My work mainly consists of glass, wax and spray paint with some silver and gold leaf here and there.
"I have sold and exhibited my work in these ten years all over the Essex area and surrounding areas.
"I hope you like my work!”
