David Laybourn

Trained as a chartered accountant.
Transferred in to General Management in the early 80’s as a result of successfully Program Managing large design and development projects.
Spent a total of 10 years working for Rockwell International in the Electronics industry  in California, Washington DC and Atlanta.
Managed major parts of both BAe and Marconi in the 1990’s.
Last full-time position was as CEO of Thorn Lighting Plc, turnover £500m with 5000 employees.

Skills are developing and working with a team, people development, strategy development, communication both verbal and written.  Financial management and financial analysis. Understanding how businesses run and helping to find and develop major funding sources.
